Merwin M. Scruggs, DMD – Family Dentistry & Personalized Care
A family dentist dedicated to serving Murfreesboro, TN, Dr. Merwin Scruggs believes dentistry should always feel personal. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Scruggs enjoys hiking, traveling, grilling, and spending time with his family.

Hannah, Office Manager
Hannah Scruggs was born and raised in Tylertown, MS. She married Dr. Scruggs in 2016 and taught 2nd grade while he was in dental school. She joined Magnolia Dental Group when it opened in 2022. Together, she and Dr. Scruggs have two daughters, McKenzie and Maddie, and a morkie named Zoey. Hannah’s favorite part of her role is helping patients receive the dental care they need and deserve.
Bree, RDA – Business Administrator
Bree was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX, and raised in Warren County, TN. She began her dental career in 2018, becoming a registered dental assistant through TNPTI. After three years as an RDA, she discovered her passion for the administrative side of dentistry and now serves as the business administrator at Magnolia Dental Group. Bree loves meeting new people and making a meaningful difference, no matter how big or small. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, and making memories with her three little boys.
Dana, RDA - Front Desk Administrator
Dana was born in Memphis, TN. She lived in Florida for twenty years before returning to Tennessee. She is married to the love her life. She has two sons and six grandchildren. She began her journey in dentistry as an assistant twenty-six years ago. She enjoys helping people, making them feel comfortable, and easing their anxieties. She strives to do her best for every patient.
Stacey, RDH
Stacey was born in Nashville and raised in the small town of Bell Buckle, TN. She graduated from South College in 2021 with Summa Cum Laude for her Associates and Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. Her favorite part of being a dental hygienist is having the opportunity to connect with people from so many different backgrounds, and being able to improve patient’s confidence and oral and systemic health. She is married to her middle school sweetheart. Together, they have two cats, Pluto and Wicket, as well as a frenchie, Kyber, and a cavapoo puppy, Hermy named after the elf from Rudolph, that inspired her to begin her dental journey at a young age.
Caity, RDH
Caity has been a dental hygienist for thirteen years and truly loves what she does. She is passionate about building relationships with her patients and educating them so they feel confident in their oral health. When she’s not at work, you can find her spending time with her family. She enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and relaxing with a good book.
Ieshia, RDH
Ieshia Porter graduated from Tennessee State University in 2015 with a degree in health sciences and a minor in psychology. She has proudly served the community through dentistry for eight years. As a hygienist, Ieshia is passionate about patient care and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable in her chair. Outside the office, she loves outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys caring for her two dogs, Zoe and Mia.
Kaily, Lead Dental Assistant
Kaily was born and raised in LaVergne, Tennessee. She completed her training at the Dental Assistant School of Nashville in 2022 and has been part of Magnolia Dental Group since opening day. Kaily enjoys connecting with patients and building relationships with them. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family and dogs, being outdoors, and traveling.
Bella, RDA
Bella was born and raised in Shelbyville, TN. She attended dental assisting school at TNPTI in 2024. Her favorite part of assisting is being able to help people. When she is not assisting Dr. Scruggs, you can find her enjoying music, art, reading, and watching movies. She also enjoys spending time with her cat, Milo, and dog, Daisy.
